Booking & Consultations
How do I book an appointment?+
All bookings go through the Porter app. Send over your idea, reference images, rough size, and placement, and you'll hear back with availability and next steps. You can start from the
booking page.
Do you take walk-ins?+
Occasionally, depending on the day's schedule, but custom and larger work is booked in advance. If you're hoping to walk in, message ahead to check availability first.
Is a deposit required?+
Yes. A non-refundable deposit secures your appointment date and is deducted from the final price of your tattoo. Deposits are forfeited for no-shows or late cancellations.
How far in advance should I book?+
Custom and larger pieces typically book out several weeks. Smaller, simpler designs may have shorter availability — the booking form will show current lead times.
The Session
How long does a tattoo take?+
It depends entirely on size and detail. Smaller pieces can take one to two hours; larger custom work is often split across multiple sessions for the best result and your comfort.
Does it hurt?+
Everyone's pain tolerance is different, and it varies by placement — bony areas tend to feel more than fleshier ones. Communication throughout the session is always welcome.
Can I bring someone with me?+
One guest is generally fine depending on studio space that day. Let me know when booking so we can plan around it.
What should I do before my appointment?+
Eat a proper meal, stay hydrated, get good sleep, and avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours beforehand. Wear clothing that gives easy access to the area being tattooed.
Aftercare & Healing
How do I care for a new tattoo?+
You'll get detailed written aftercare instructions after your session covering cleaning, moisturizing, and what to avoid. Surface healing usually takes two to four weeks; full healing takes longer beneath the skin.
When can I swim or get sun exposure?+
Avoid soaking (pools, baths, the ocean) and direct sun exposure until your tattoo is fully healed — typically two to three weeks, longer for larger pieces.
What if something looks off while healing?+
Most things you'll notice during healing — scabbing, itching, slight fading — are completely normal. If anything concerns you, reach out directly rather than guessing.
Payment & Policies
What payment methods are accepted?+
Cash is preferred. Card payments are accepted and may carry a small processing fee — details are confirmed when you book.
Can I reschedule or cancel?+
Life happens — just give as much advance notice as possible. Late cancellations or no-shows forfeit the deposit, and a new one is required to rebook.
Do you offer touch-ups?+
Yes, a complimentary touch-up is offered on healed work within a set window after your session, provided aftercare instructions were followed.
